The Course

The 8 hr and 4 hr courses overlap so that riders on both courses will be sharing some trails. Hence, it is important to exercise appropriate ettiquette on the trails - that is, allowing faster riders past when safe, notifying riders in front that you want to pass and communicating on the ‘right’ or ‘left’.

The courses will be clearly marked or bunted - the point where the two courses deviate will be clearly signed and manned at all times (at the top of Canyanero trail). Other checkpoints or marshal points will be a key junctions on the course.

Both courses involve a mix of single track (82%) and fire roads (18%). The course details can be found here.
