Calibre
Designed by long term TMBC Ryan Myler, this cross country, or XC trail is nasty. Technical up, technical down. This 1.7km loop has 96m of elevation, both up and down, and begins and ends in almost the same spot, roughly half way around the Rock n Roll trail.
The trail was constructed circa 2012, mostly hand cut with limited use of a hired Dingo. Local business Calibre Advisors secured a grant to pay for road base in an attempt to enhance the trail feel, and it has been realigned and enhanced a few times since the first build.
A fantastic trail on its own merits, it has unfortunately fallen out of favour slightly due to other descending trail options such as Ida and Highlife, which are also accessible from the North Face. Riders heading up to the North Face after completing Canyonero can use part of Calibre up as a more interesting option over the fire trail climb.
