Hot Rod
Hot Rod is a black diamond trail in the lower park. Named after outgoing 2018 President Rod Hickey, in honour of all the hard work he has put into trail development in Jubilee Park over many years of involvement in the TMBC.
Losing 84m of elevation over its 634m length, Hot Rod is a solid choice for riders building up the skills to tackle Frenzy, or those wanting something a little spicier than the top section of Turkey. Commencing at the Grassy Knoll, the trails starts with a roll in over some logs and then descends into a natural rock garden. Once riders successfully negotiate the rock garden the elevation drop really starts with series of big berms into big jumps, both gaps and tabletops before entering the trees to finish off with some old school hand cut technical single track.
The is an option to exit the trail before the lower A and B lines, and cross the fire road to join either Frenzy (just above the rock garden), or Road Rage, or alternatively riders can continue on Hot Rod for another 200m or so and exit onto Frenzy lower down.
